The Lampeter MBA achieves validation
CTL is proud to announce the final approval of the new Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme by the University of Wales Lampeter. This is the first time the University has offered an MBA programme and they hope to build on their already impressive ranking in Business Management amongst UK Universities (The Guardian University Guide 2006).
For aspiring senior managers, future CEOs and entrepreneurs an MBA is often considered the essential business qualification, and the College of Technology London is one of the few UK private institutions to offer a full MBA programme in partnership with a UK university. The programme is designed to develop broad managerial competence to enable graduates to cope with a wide variety of business situations appropriate to their diverse national backgrounds. After completing the core modules students will be able to specialise one of five possible degree pathways in Leadership, Human Resources Management (HRM), International Marketing, Entrepreneurship and Information Management.
Professor David Kirby of the University of Surrey School of Management and External Examiner for the Department [Dept. of Management and Information Technology at UWL] said:
'I congratulate the Department on this initiative and trust that the programme will be highly successful, giving the students a sound grounding in both management theory and practice.'
The University of Wales Lampeter is consistently ranked highly in leading surveys of higher education including the prestigious Guardian League table of Universities, ranking 30 out of more than 90 institutions across the UK in Business Management.
