CTL students graduated today at the University of Wales Lampeter graduation ceremony. Students and family guests made the long trip to Lampeter from London, some arriving several days before. Graduation day commenced with a briefing from the graduation committee. The ceremony took place alongside UWL graduates, staff and dignitaries including Professor Ezzeddin Ibrahim, Cultural Advisor to the Abu Dhabi Ministry and Lord Morris of Aberavon, Welsh MP and life peer, both of whom received honorary fellowships.

BA (Hons) Business Management students who studied degrees between October 2006 and February 2009 as well as top-up degree students graduated today. MBA students studying between October 2007, June 2007 and February 2009 also graduated with specialisations in Information Management, Entrepreneurship, Marketing and HRM. Two CTL graduates, Lilian Melo from Brazil and Harish Jywali from Nepal, received special departmental awards for the achievements in dissertation.

Many CTL graduates achieved first class and upper second class degrees (2.1) in what were fantastic overall achievements. Several students received their degree in absentia after having returned to their home countries, or taken up a higher degree.

The ceremony was followed by a photo session, then lunch and a briefing from the Department of Management and Information Technology. Graduates had time to explore the campus and town before tea was served in the Refectory at the end of the day. All graduates are now able to join the Lampeter Society which is now over 70 years old.

All graduates from outside the EU are now eligible to apply for a two year PSW visa if they wish to remain in the United Kingdom. On behalf of all the staff at CTL and the University of Wales Lampeter, we would like to wish them all the best for their future careers [3rd July 2009].
